Skater

I'm trying out a new style I've always liked: Skater. I know this ain't extremely skater but it was a school day. Materials:

Blue Tiger Shirt (slightly see-through, got it from Wal-Mart)
Jeans (I think their from American Eagle or old Navy)
Black High tops (J.C. Penny)
My Turquoise ring
A copper chain necklace I made from an old earring
Black and white checkered wristband (Hot Topic (Not seen, my hand was in my pocket))

Now, wear that and let your hair dry naturally. You can have some black eyeliner and mascara but I, per usual, didn't wear any make-up.

Scene: Hair and Make-Up

I may seem like a poser but I tried my best, I only did this for around three days so I wasn't that great at it. Anyways, er, materials:

  • Black Eyeshow
  • Black Eyeliner
  • Pink Sparkly Coral Lipstick
  • Comb
  • Hair Straightener
Now, straighten your hair and then tease it where the roots are of the top layer, mine went a little curled at this stage. Also, side sweep your bangs, it makes it look more scene. Then I tried to substitute black eyeshadow for black eyeliner but then when I wiped it off it looked like a hot mess so you can do then then put actual eyeliner on and then you put some lipstick on and then it should be complete, my way.

Chinese Girl

Alright! I know this is late, but I've bombarded with homework, a lot of reading. Anyways, this was an old picture (you can tell by the long hair) but this is how I looked like a Chinese waitress or something when I was being weird and cosplaying with my BFF. Materials:

  1. Chinese Dress (I got mine at a car show that was a dress booth. Costed $50.00 for the dress which I was the only one who fit in it and it is really from China. The material is green with floral patterns on it and a slit on the left side)
  2. Ponytail Holder/Rubber Band
  3. Duct Tape Flower
Alright, put on your dress (doesn't have to be like mine. You can sew one yourself or find a replica in a store or online. Maybe you could even travel to China and buy one there) Then you put your hair in a ponytail, then take the duct tape flower you made from duct tape and a straw (you can find tutorials online/on youtube, my friend made these) and you don't have to make the flower be black, that's the only duct tape I had. You can even put on some make-up (I didn't) but you can have red lipstick with some purple eyeshadow (Lavender colored and lighty dusted on, so it looks somewhat natural) and then you take some black eyeliner (I would imagine liquid eyeliner would work best but I've only used pencil but my older sister likes liquid eyeliner) and then you make a small 'flick' or 'cat tail' or whatever you call it.

Fashion: Soc and Greaser Style Combined

Today I got my hair done and I felt like a Greaser/Soc from The Outsiders because I now look like Cherry Valance...Anyways, if you can't chose between a Greaser or Soc style, then look no more because I managed to combine the two!

  • Light blue polo shirt with the three buttons undone
  • Denim Mini Skirt
  • White Vans (I think that is what they are called, they kinda reminded me of Cherry's sneakers from the movie so I wore them)
  • my turquoise ring
  • My yellow beaded 'Minato' bracelet
  • my dad's middle school necklace
  • black tank top
You obviously know how to put this on...Also, for the shoes don't wear any socks because it would look weird, also, tie the laces then tuck them on the inside or else it'll also look pretty weird...

80's Style Punk

Warning, this isn't historically accurate! I was just wearing neons with black and it was my second choice for the Breathe Carolina Concert and I liked the other one but this could be better with different combinations. Anyways, here is the outfit pieces:

Black Beanie/Baret from Hot Topic
Black Halter Top from Old Navy
Black Skater Skirt from J.C. Penny (I think)
Green-Yellow Neon Ripped Nylons from Hot Topic
Green-Yellow Neon Fishnet Glovettes from Hot Topic
Black High Tops from J.C. Penny (I think)

Now, you just wear that and you should be good to go, the beanieberet is styled in the same way in the other Punk Breathe Carolina thing I already did :)

Basic Native American

I titled this Basic Native American because I have no idea what to call it but I do look like a Native American so I just decided to title it that...anyways, this is a make-up tutorial with the jewelry part thrown in there with how my hair turned out like it did. Anyways, here are the materials:

Black eyeliner
Black mascara
Blue and Pink Native American Choker Necklace (Got it from Trees of Mystery, located at a national park (I think it was redwoods) in Northern California)
Comb

Now, you apply the black eyeliner to your top lid in a thinnish line, put mascara on your top and bottom lashes, then you tie the choker on your neck (not too tight or anything) and then you can start on the hair.

Take a shower and put your hair up with a clip. Then, once you get dressed, you can comb it out straight and comb your bangs straight and make sure your bangs are plastered there or they'll go all curly (this is based on my naturally curly hair but if you have naturally straight hair then ignore this) and I just let it air dry. If you have a different hair type then you can curl your hair in loose curls all around your head to make it close to mine.

Rock N Roll Hair and Make-Up

Alright, another rock thing to go with the style one! Yay, okay, anyways, in the reference picture I am not wearing any make-up but I will still tell you how to apply the make-up so you aren't confused or anything. Materials, per usual:

  • Bandana (Mine was red but you can make it any color you want)
  • Black Eyeliner
  • Black Mascara
  • Black Nail Polish
  • Hair Curler or Straightener

Alright, first you wanna straighten or curl your hair, this is obviously optional but my curls are natural in this but it looks like Stacee Jaxx (Rock of Ages) or Axl Rose (Guns N Roses) if you straighten it. Now, you apply black eyeliner like normal on your top lid, however you do it. Next is apply the mascara to your upper and lower lashes to make it pop. You fold the bandana as thick or thin as you want it (thicker if you are going for a Stacee Jaxx look like I did) and you tie it around your head like the Original Karate Kid kind of or like a Ninja Turtle (my stepdad called me both, as a joke) and then you pull your bangs out (if you don't have bangs then a strand that looks like bangs or something, it looks better this way, I've tested it) and then you finally paint your nails back and you are done!

Fashion: Girly

Alright ladies, I know that you want some girly stuff so I decided to put on a girly thing and it looks really cute! Even though I hate a lot of pink I really liked this one and I hope that you will too! Here are the materials:

Light Pink Tank Top
White Mini Skirt (Optional: Ruffles on it)
Opal Ring (I got it in West Yellowstone, which is in Montana)
Hot Pink Headband (Thick and it has white fake rhinestones on it)
My normal turquoise ring
A bracelet I made with yellow beads and it reads 'Minato' as in Naruto's dad from Naruto
Black High Tops
Floral, See through Scarf (Also got this in West Yellowstone)
A Necklace my dad wore when he was in middle school (You can't replicate this exactly... so wear a different necklace)

Alright, if you just wear this, then you should be set! Reference Pictures:

Rock N' Roll: Clothes

Alright! I'm back, now, this is when we all went four wheeling and I look like a complete idiot and such but anyways, this is what my clothes are, they are the rock and roll style:

  • Short shorts (H&M is where I bought mine, I just took the feather thingy off)
  • Aquamarine Tank Top (I used one I bought from, like, Old Navy I think and you can use any color)
  • Blondie Tank Top (Mine is too small for me so that's why I put a tank top under it)
  • Huge Sweatshirt band from the sleeve (That's how I made my uber awesome wristband, I wrapped it around three times, got it from my dad's sweatshirt)
  • Grey Plaid Converse High Tops (These are the shoes I was wearing, they don't have to be exact, just a dark color)
  • A Bracelet that says 'Rock' (I made it from a bracelet making kit thing and it is purple elastic with orange, yellow, blue, and green beads)
  • The turquoise ring I always wear that's on a silver band (we should know what I'm talking about now)
  • A plastic ring with fake, light pink rhinestones
  • A Brown-Copper chain with a long, chain piece (their  four small chains connected to a longer chain that is on the necklace chain. It was off of an old earring and I had an old chain lying around)
Now, all you do is wear that and BAM! Insta-rock style, and for kicks, you can wear four wheeler goggles!

Punk Concert (Breathe Carolina Related)

I was gonna go to a concert with my BFF but I found out that it was a We The Kings concert instead of a Breathe Carolina one like we planned so we didn't go but here was the outfit I was gonna wear. Items:

  • Black Halter Top (Old Navy)
  • Skinny Jeans (H&M)
  • Rainbow Stud Belt (Hot Topic)
  • Black Beanie/Beret (Hot Topic)
  • Black High Tops (JC Penny)
  • Hair Straightener
  • Black Eyeliner (Pencil)
  • Black Mascara
  • Sparkly, Light Pink Lipstick

Put on the outfit and then you straighten your hair (If you have long enough bangs, then put one side over your eye once you're done with make-up) and then for the make-up, look at my Emo Make-up tutorial and it is the same think basically. Then you put on the beanie/beret (it's a cross between the two) and then you lace up your high tops and you are good to go!

P.S. The reason why my make-up is different and my hair isn't straightened was just because I was trying the outfit on so my make-up is what it was for that day and my shirt is tucked in on the side that's facing the camera because the shirt was coverin the belt so I wanted the camera to see it.

Majestic Mermaid

Alright, ever wanted to dress like you were from the sea? Here's your chance! Items you need/the items I used:

  • White ruffle skirt
  • Yellow tank top
  • Blue, thin, see-through shirt
  • Black slip ons
  • Peach colored shawl
  • Native American Choker
  • Native American Anklet (Pearl and Coral)
  • Turquoise ring (silver band, don't leave a green band around your finger) (I always wear this)
  • Green Jeweled Clip
Now that you have that, get dressed. Next, tie the choker around your neck (not too tight, or you'll choke yourself (obviously, hence the name)), put on the shawl (see reference picture), put the anklet on your right ankle. The ring on your ring finger on your right hand and then twist your hair and put it up in the clip and you should be done. No make-up because I don't really put it on that much,

Hair: Hunger Games Clove Training Center Hairstyle

Another Tutorial! Yay! Anyways, we know how to do Clove's arena hairstyle but what about when she's training? Well, here are the materials you need:

Seven hair ties (six little one big)
Hairbrush

Now that sounds simple, it pretty much is. you take one side of your hair and split it into two little sections (see reference pictures below if you get confused) and tie a hairtie on the mini sections of hair, then take another one and tie the two sections together creating a small triangle, repeat on other side. Finally put your hair in a ponytail (she had hers in the middle of her head but I put mine in a low ponytail)
Mine looks demented because my hair has baby-fine strands and it's thick and it's really curly so yours will probably turn out different unless we have the same hairtype.

Fashion: Jazz Outfit

Alright, in December we had our dance recital and it was Jazz. This is how I did my hair/Make-up and my dress!!! Materials:

  • Black, ruffly mini dress that is a halter top
  • Black ribbon (I use ribbons as choker necklaces)
  • Comb
  • Hair Gel
  • Hairspray
  • Dark Brown Eyeliner
  • Peach Eyeshadow (Light and Dark Colors)
  • Tannish Blush
  • Chap Stick
Alright, put the dress on, tie the ribbon as a choker on your neck, and now the real descriptive stuff:
Hair-
Put your hair up in a high ponytail that goes at the base of your scalp (on the top of your head almost) and start backcombing it until you get it how you desire. Then you hairspray it into place so it won't get all jacked up. Next for the bangs, you take the gel and make 8 spikes for your bangs. Then you can move onto make-up.

Make-Up~
Apply the blush on your face and a little on your neck, next line the eyelid with the eyeliner (Not too thick or thin) and then put eyeshadow on your lid which would be peach and create a mix of light and dark peach (just a shade darker than the light)

Hair, Make-Up, and Outfit: Hip-Hop 'Genie'

It's the outfit I had to wear to my dance concert, I took Hip-Hop/Jazz (Jazz outfit I'll do next Wednesday). The only reason why I call it a Hip-Hop Genie was because it looks something a genie would wear, hence the hairstyle I did. Anyways, here is the stuff you need:

  • Four Hair Ties
  • White Vans (I think that's the type of shoes I wore, whatever, there's gonna be a pic anyways)
  • A White Tank Top With Silver Sparkles
  • Blue Harem Pants
  • Red, Sleeveless Jacket with White Ruffle Trip and Gold Buttons
  • Brown Eyeliner Pencil
  • Black Eye Shadow
  • Chap Stick
  • Purple Short-Shorts (I got mine from Pat's Dancewear, the harem pants are see-through to a point so I wore these under them)
  • Black socks that are for slip in shoes
Anyways, you put the outfit on, and now the hair: Put your hair up in a high ponytail while leaving two thick strands of hair framing your face, and put the next hair tie under that about an inch or so and pull the hair out until it looks like a little ball of hair (best described in my Hunger Games Clove Arena hair tutorial) and then you take the two strands of hair you left out and twist them into a rope braid.

Make-up: outline your top lids in brown eyeliner and then dust on some black eye shadow lightly so it isn't too dark like you have dark circles on your eyelid.

Hair and Make-Up: Emotive Hardcore

Ever wanted to be Emo? Well, here is how I did my hair and make-up! Items:

  • Flat Iron (hair straightener)
  • Black pencil Eyeliner
  • Black Mascara
First, straighten your hair, since my bangs are long when they are straight I usually have them over my left eye but you don't have to. Next you outline your whole eye in black eyeliner and make it kinda dark, finally you just apply lots of mascara to your lashes and you are done!

Winx Club: Lightning and Ice Fairy (Myself)

Alright, like the Winx Club? Well, I know it is Sunday but this is the other one to make up for last Wednesday. Anyways, my RPC (Roleplay Character) is a fairy of Lightning and Ice so I cosplayed my RPC yesterday and this is how you cosplay my rpc with the stuff I used, you can get stuff that is similar:

  • White tank top with silver sparkles
  • White miniskirt
  • Black Hightops
  • Orange Bracelet that came with a Winx Stella Doll (this was from forever ago and the charm broke off so I had to tape it on) (I wore this later on in the day)
  • Raindrop Necklace (It is a friendship necklace I got at Claire's and I wear it everyday)
  • Blue cord tied around the charm thingy that broke off of the Orange bracelet mentioned in bullet point four (Also worn later in the day)
  • Aquamarine flower with two matching coontail feathers
  • Silver Turquoise ring (I always wear this)
Alright, you just wear all of that with your hair straightened and put the top half in a ponytail while leaving the other half down and have the feather on the rubber band

Cosplay: Elfen Lied Lucy

Have you watched Elfen Lied and admired Lucy's little black dress outfit? So did I and here is a cheap way to cosplay her without spending all the money for a professional cosplay. Let's start with what you need (because when I make a list it is easier to figure out if you are in a hurry)

1. Pink shirt with sleeves to your elbow that has a wide circle neck
2. Black tank top dress that goes to your knees or higher
3. Short, thin Red Ribbon (for your neck)
4. Two, thick lavender ribbons (I Imagine them silk)
5. Black and Grey(preferably dark grey) horizontal striped socks that go to your knees or higher or they could be stockings
6. Red, low heel slip ons
7. Scissors

Alright, now that we have that we can start with the instructions. This is buying all the things except you can make any of the ribbons yourself and you need to modify the socks/stockings. Buy a pink shirt (mentioned above with more detail), buy a black dress that is a tank top style that is form-fitting that goes to your knees or thighs, next buy black and grey striped socks/stockings, get the red heels, buy the ribbons and now you can start modifying.

Socks: put the socks on and stretch the front part of the sock on and make a little cut then put it back normally and cut around the top half, then repeat on the heel except on the bottom leave about two inches thick piece of fabric on the bottom, repeat on the other sock and your done.

Stockings: repeat all the steps above but then take the top part of the stockings and cut it into socks of your desired height (it's better to leave some fabric a little higher so you can make modifications with enough fabric) and your done.

Next, the wig. In this outfit you can use the short hair or long haired Lucy, doesn't matter. You can use whichever you like better, but the most identifiable in this outfit is short hair. If you just wanna do this for school (which is what I'm wearing on the first day) then you can use your regular hair (since they probably/most likely won't allow you to wear wigs at school)

And now, the ribbons!
Red: Take the thin red ribbon and tie it around your neck (not too tight otherwise (obviously) you'd choke yourself) and tie it in a bow in the front of your neck.

Lavender: take the two pieces of ribbon/fabric and tie it in a bow. Then take a clip and put it on the ribbons and place them in your hair/wig on the sides (their used to cover Lucy/Nyu's horns)

Below: something I put together on Polyvore.com to have as in example

Fashion: Death Note's Greatest Detective...L!

Alright, so I probably explained what Death Note was (an anime I love) in my previous posts that involve Misa Amane, or Misa-Misa, so I really hope I don't have to explain it, or you could search engine it. Anyways, have you ever wanted to dress like L? Or Cosplay as L? Well, here is the guide to having L's style whether it is Cosplay or your new style.

L's Style is very basic, as shown here:
So all you need is a baggy shirt with long sleeves that isn't a low cut/V-neck and is preferably white, baggy jeans that aren't too baggy (no gangsterness), and your bare feet. I'll be sure to explain the make-up in a different post :)

Star Sign: Cancer

Is your Zodiac Sign a Cancer? Ever wanted to know more about it but didn't want to sit and read everything? Well, here is lots of it in this article! I'm starting with Cancer because it is around that time aka your Star Sign is a Cancer if your birthday is:
June 21-July 22

It's picture is normally a single Crab and the Cancer's season is Summer. Emotions run extremely strong for Cancers, therefore it makes it hard to get to know one; they think family and home are most important, so the word 'devotion' is the main keyword for this sign.

Traditionally, Cancers make great Parents since all things related to family is one of the Cancers top priorities. A favorite pastime is passing on family stories to the next generation,

Cancers are very helpful when it comes to friendship which means they are almost always willing to help out or lend a hand if it doesn't interfere with family matters. People who enjoy cards or home dining are top picks for friends, since they prefer the 'homey' setting.

Since they have lots of emotions, it's hard to understand Cancers which is why they try to pick people who can understand them as much as possible for a partner in their love life. Usually superficial or too ambitious people aren't very well working with the Cancer for their love lives. They are also devoted to their partners and love children while they mate for life. Mostly compatible with Scorpio and Pisces, while they aren't very compatible with Capricorn since they are opposites.

The most sensitive parts of stimulation, for Cancers, are breast, stomach, and upper liver. Their ruling planet is the moon, the moon governs instincts, moods, tides, personal interests, desires, needs, fertility, the need to touch, growth, and consciousness. Their select color is silver, which, I suppose, ties into the moon idea. Gemstone is pearl, lucky numbers are 4 and 6, and best gifts are collectibles or an item they could put in their house. Lucky day is Monday while their element is Water.

Some famous Cancers are: Sylvester Stallone, Princess Diana, Robin Williams, John Glenn, 50 Cent, Phyllis Diller, and Prince William.

Perfect Beachy Hairstyles? Look no Further!

Hey! I just posted a tutorial about Beachy Make-up so now let's move onto the hair! Here are the styles I am gonna cover:

Curls
Waves
Feathery

Curls: if you have natural curls then you don't need to do anymore! But if you don't then you loosely wrap your hair around the curling iron and keep it there for a few seconds then let go and you should have a loose curl. You should brush it out with your fingers and continue for the rest of your hair.

Waves: Braid it while it is wet and wait/sleep until dry (You don't have to wait if you sleep) and you can put them in however many braids you want, depending on how loose you want the waves to be. Lots for tight, defined waves while one for loose, not really defined waves.

Feathery: you can only really achieve this look with some hair mist you can buy at stores. I got mine from Bath and Body Works, I think it's called pure paradise. Once you spray in the mist you shake it a little then put a little more in until you get the look you desire then you let it dry. The one I got works on dry and wet hair, but not all are like that.

Goin to the Beach? Not without some good make-up tips!

Alright, if you want that beachy girl look but don't live near a beach or you live near a beach and want to look good for a walk on the sand, then look no further for a tutorial on how you should do your make-up! Let's start with the color scheme:

Blue
Turquoise
Aquamarine
Coral
Green
Lavender
Peach
Brown

Now we have the basic colors on there that we are most familiar with, we can start on the natural look:

Apply some peach eye shadow to your lids, next outline your top lid with brown very lightly. Put on some light pink lipstick and you are ready to go! The Natural look is really simple but the other ones are just as simple, now we will go with the Ocean look:

Apply blue, turquoise, or aquamarine eye shadow to your eyelids, now put on some blue or green eyeliner that isn't extremely noticeable but enough you can see it. Now you can put on a coral colored lipstick and call it good. Next and lastly is the Mermaid Look:

Dust your lids with Lavender, Green, or Blue eye shadow. Then you put on green, blue, or brown eyeliner and finish it off with a pink, coral, or red lipstick.

*In the pictures I used either Navy blue or velvet green eyeliner, light pink lipstick that is glittery, and a color of eye shadow that is called Sea Glass which is aquamarine and turquoise (not together but they are in the same case but I believed I used the lighter one aka Aquamarine)

Hair: Beetlejuice Lydia Hair

Hi again! Another hair tutorial from when I cut my hair like Winona Ryder's from Tim Burton's 'Beetlejuice' movie. Things you need:

  1. Black hair scrunchie
  2. Hairspray
  3. Comb
  4. Hair gel
Now you have your supplies, we can get started on how to do her hair! It looks really complicated, right? Wrong, it isn't that hard if you know how to do it! Now, to start you take your hair and part it in the middle, then you take the black scrunchie (If you don't use a scrunchie then the rubber band would get caught in your hair and it would be a pain to get out) and you put your hair into a really high ponytail at the top base of your head aka the part just behind the scalp of your head. Once you have done that, you back comb your hair until you have it looking however you want and then hairspray it into place. Now for the bangs, you take some hair gel onto the tips of your index and thumb, maybe your middle finger and start gelling them into spikes, she normally has them in 8 perfect spikes, while I on the other hand, well...basically I didn't do the tips into spikes like you should, I did the whole piece of bang so it looks uber weird.

Beauty: Death Note Misa Hair and Make-Up

I'm back with another Death Note Tutorial that incorporates Misa's style into your own!

First, let's start with the hair. Here is what you need:
  • Two elastics
Yes, that is all you need for Misa's hair! Anyways, the very short tutorial for her hairstyle:

You part your hair in the middle of your head. You take a small piece of hair on your top layer and pull it into a pigtail, repeat on the other side and leave two strands framing your face and you are done.

Make-Up Essentials:

  • Dark Red Lipstick
  • Peach Eye shadow
  • Black Eyeliner
  • Foundation
  • Mascara
Now, the tutorial:

You take the foundation and apply it to your face, don't cake it on though. Make it as natural as possible, next apply the peach eye shadow to your eyelids and outline with black eyeliner. Don't do the wing, it's supposed to look natural. Lastly, you apply your dark red lipstick to your lips and add mascara to your eyes to make them really stand out.

Fashion: Death Note Misa Amane Inspired Style!

Ever seen the Anime or read the Manga called Death Note? Did you like Misa Amane's style? Well, this isn't a Cosplay DIY like the Soul Eater and Ao No Exorcist one. This is how to replicate Misa-Misa's style into your wardrobe!

First we will start with the basic color schemes:
Black
White
Red
Pink
Gray

Now, it isn't exactly limited to those colors since she is a model so they probably put her in neutral and darker tones like dark blues, purples, gray, silver, etc. Misa is very girly and dresses in a gothic style, so you can easily find these types of skirts, dresses, accessories, and shirts at Hot Topic.

She usually is wearing dresses, skirts, or shorts and they are almost always tank tops with an occasional pairing of glovettes. When you first see her meet Light, she is wearing a frilly black dress, lace socks that go to her thighs, boots, lace glovettes, black choker, and silver earrings with a matching silver necklace. All of those are in black except the silver accessories.

Since I have pictures that provide examples, you should get the idea that she dresses gothic, like she gets everything from my favorite store, Hot Topic. They have frilly skirts, frilly dresses, lace glovettes, boots, and leggings that are ripped and such, She sometimes dresses revealing, like that one time she wore that pink lingerie for Light, that wasn't very gothic but showed her mostly girly side. She has also been seen wearing black and white striped stockings with black short-shorts and a red tank top.

Tips:
Don't only shop at Hot Topic, there are plenty of other stores that sell things Misa would wear.

She is usually seen wearing her silver earrings and necklace set and her black choker, not matter what she wears.

She doesn't always dress gothic, just most of the time.

She doesn't always wear glovettes but she usually wears stockings and anything with lace or ribbon.

Other good accessories include chains, belts, and buckles.

Here is something I put together on Polyvore.com that would suit Misa's style really well:
*Only the bracelets are from Hot Topic, everything else I'm not sure but it proves that other stores sell stuff similar to Hot Topic

Dead Or Alive 2 and 3 Lei Fang Hair

Welcome back to me, but aside from that I have a hair tutorial! If you have ever heard of, seen pictures of, or played any of the Dead or Alive games, you should be familiar with Lei Fang. She is from China and usually wears traditional Chinese dresses.

Anyways, now that we have established who Lei Fang is, let's get down to the hair. The hairstyle is the braids that are in a circle on her head. Here is what you need:

Bobby Pins
Four elastics/hair bands
Long Hair

Now, here are the instructions:

Part your hair down the middle, next separate into two sections (you can take a hair tie and tie off one section over your shoulder so you won't accidentally take some hair from the other side.) you take one section and put it in a pigtail that isn't too high or too low, then you braid the pigtail. You take the braided pigtail, tie it off then wrap it in a circle (If you don't understand there's a picture at the bottom) and make it stay in place with the bobby pins. Next you do the same thing on the other side and then you are done!

Tips:
Dry hair works best
Long hair is preferred, since you can't really do it with short hair

Soul Eater Soul Evans Outfit 2 DIY

If you liked Soul Eater Evans' 2nd outfit in Soul Eater and have a budget then this is a guide right up your alley!

Items:

Wig
Leather Jacket
Brown/Tan Pants
Solid Black Shoes
Solid Orange Shirt
Thin Black Plastic Headband

Procedure:

Slide on your brown/tan pants and then your solid orange shirt, next put on the solid black shoes. Finally, put on the black leather jacket and put your hair up so you can put the wig on and then put the headband on and you are done!

Picture Answers: I am wearing my dad's leather jacket (this was before I had my own jacket), I am wearing tan pants, I have on my black boots, I don't have a wig because I didn't have any money, and I thought the shirt was white but found the picture of it being orange so I corrected it later but don't have a picture of the updated version.

Ao No Exorcist Shura DIY

Ever Seen Ao No Exorcist? Did you admire Shura's outfit and wanted to cosplay her but didn't have enough money or thought it was a little too revealing? Here's how I did it with a very low budget, no sewing, and made it less revealing!

Things you need:
Wig
Pink or Red Bikini Top or Bra
Short-Shorts
*Optional: Lace Leggings
Boots
Denim Jacket
*Optional: Red Sharpie
*Optional: Small White Scarf

Put on your Bikini top or Bra then slide on your lace leggings (If you got some) then slide on your booty shorts (I call them that because their so short). If you wanted to draw the designs on her torso then draw it on with the red sharpie (If you didn't want to then that's okay because I didn't either). Then put your jacket over the top/bra and button up the last 2 buttons; Slide on your boots then, if you have a small white scarf, tie the scarf around your neck so the bow is facing off on an angle, between the side and front. Put your hair up and put on the wig and there you have your Shura cosplay!

Soul Eater Medusa Cosplay DIY

Last year for the Cosplay Convention I went as Medusa from Soul Eater! Here is what you need:

  • Sewing Machine
  • Thread
  • Long Sleeved, Black Turtle Neck shirt
  • Dance Pants
  • Black Sharpie
  • White and Silver (I used gold) Fabric
  • Paper
  • Scissors (one for paper and one for fabric/Thread)
  • Wire
  • Needles
  • Flip-Flops
  • Rubber Band
  • Pencil
  • Wig (Optional)
Alright, once you have the shirt, cut the sleeves off and cut the turtle neck so it isn't really high and that there is a random slit thingy in the front. Cut the pattern for the two bracelets, small circles, and the design on her hood. Fold the Silver fabric in half and cut out two of the fabric stuff for the two bracelets. Next fold the white fabric in half and cut out the two small circles and the hood design (I made the hood design simple but then drew on the random shapes she has on it)

Cut the sleeves up the seam and sew them together (opposite from the seam) and then sew the now one piece of sleeve onto the back of the turtle neck. The slit thingy in the front has the left and right side and on each side is one of the white circles, sew those on. Next, sew on the hood designs on each side of the hood and you are done with the shirt.

Sew the silver pieces almost all the way together but keep a part open for the wire, once you slide the wire in sew the fabric closed, repeat for other bracelet. Put on the shirt and dance pants then wind the bracelet up each arm so you have one bracelet on each side. Take the Sharpie (I had my friend draw this) and draw the tattoos she has on her arms.

Wig:
put your hair up and then put the wig on and you are done

Your hair way:

If you used your regular hair (I did) then twist it in the front until you get to the end and put the rubber band in. You are done!

Tips:

  • If you are using your regular hair, twist tightly so that when you tie the rubber band in and it loosens up a little, it is still twisted.
  • Watch out for the wire when sewing, I broke my sewing machines needle by it hitting the wire so I had to hand sew some things on and that is why I only had one bracelet.
  • If you wait until the day before, that is perfectly okay because I did my costume in one full day. (8:00 AM-8:00 PM and it only took that long because I had to go up to my moms house that day for her to paint my nails, which I have a separate tutorial for, and her birthday then hurriedly came back to my dads shop and finished it)

Gem Studs!

Ever wanted to pierce your nose with a nose stud but your parents won't let you or you don't want a scar or something? Well, here is something simple for you to do without all that complicated stuff!

All you need is a gem that is either stick on or if it isn't a stick on you will also need glue. This can go for any kind of stud, not just a nose stud but this is mainly a nose stud, follow these instructions for anywhere else,

Stick-On:

Peel the Gem off the plastic thing. Next stick it on the desired place on your nose and you are done! Just make sure it doesn't fall off.

Glue on:

Take the gem and turn it on it's back so the gem part is facing down. Take your glue and dab a small dot on it, depending on how big the gem is (which shouldn't be huge) and stick it on the desired place on your nose and hold it there until the glue dries and BAM! You have your nose stud!

Tips:

The Glue may get messy so be sure to clean it up

The Sticky thing on the back of the Stick-On gem might give way so be prepared to lose it and if you don't wanna lose it easily then tape it or glue it on (The glue could also give way so make sure you have a strong holding glue and not something like Elmer's glue although, it may work)

Spray Paint and Stencil DIY

Alright, have you ever wanted a customized saying on a solid colored shirt that no one else had or sold? Well, here is what I did to make my own! I saw Joan Jett wear one and thought it was pretty cool so this is like the Rock and Roll version of it but you can stencil a picture or a saying, it works either way.

Supplies:

  1. Old Cardboard (I used an old Cardboard box that my Cowboy Boots Came in)
  2. Pencil
  3. Ruler
  4. Solid Color Shirt
  5. Spray Paint(s) of your Color(s)
  6. Scissors
  7. Razor blade, Box Cutter, Etc.
  8. *Optional: Depending if you have a thin material shirt or a thick one, you may need something in between the front and back of your shirt if it is thin so the pray paint won't bleed through.
Now that you have all your supplies it is time to start the tutorial:

Buy the shirt, obviously. If you already have one that has NOTHING on it aka it is plain then you can skip that step. Now you set up your work area, I did mine in my dad's shop on his metal table so you need a flat and sturdy place. I designed the stencil on my kitchen counter, but anyways let's start with the home made stencil. Lay the piece of cardboard flat, next measure out how big you want your stencil and mark it, make sure it fits on the shirt, and then make the lines to where your boarder is gonna be. Then you draw the outline of the stencil, next you take a razor blade, box cutter, etc. and cut the stencil outline, leaving the boarder; Make sure, if you need two or more stencils, you repeat the step I just mentioned. Next, lay out the shirt on the surface completely flat without wrinkles. If your shirt is thin, then when you lay it out put something in between the front and back of the shirt (I used tissue paper from the old boot box I mentioned earlier) and continue on with the rest of these steps. The next step is to put your stencil(s) on the shirt however you want them and then you are ready to spray paint. Choose your color(s) and spray paint over the stencil, let the stencil sit and dry for about an hour then take it off (and take the barrier between the front and back of the shirt out if needed) and you are ready to put your shirt on.

Hunger Games Clove Arena Hairstyle Tutorial

Do you love Clove from The Hunger Games? When you watched the movie, did you like how they did Clove's hair for the Arena? Even if you don't like Clove, you can still like her hairstyle! Here is what you need:

  1. Depending on the length of your hair (Before I cut my hair, it was about to my ribcage, maybe a little longer when it was straightened, but if it wasn't it was just below my breasts) I used 4 but give or take if your hair is longer or shorter.
  2. Comb
  3. Hairbrush
Now you have your supplies ready, you can now style your hair. When I did this for the first time, I took a shower then let my hair dry a little and then put it up so it looks somewhat wet.

  1. Put your hair in a high ponytail in the middle of your head (you can put it on the base of your head aka before the top of your head if you want, but the lowest would be middle of your head)
  2. Put an elastic below that (you can choose the distance) and pull the hair through a little so it creates a little 'ball' effect.
  3. Repeat step 2 until you can't put anymore elastics in
And you should have Clove's hairstyle!

Tips:

  • You can do your hair dry or wet, if it is wet it will dry into the little ball things you made in your hair so when you take it out it is wavy, but it works well either way.
  • You don't need to use hairspray, especially if your hair is wet. But if your hair has a hard time staying in this style then go ahead and use some hairspray or use a spray bottle to wet it down so it dries like that.
  • It works well if you put it in the middle of your head or at the almost top of your head/base of your head. I've done both and they both look great either way.

Arrow Nails!

Alright, so this is about Nail Painting! Anyways, here is a list of supplies:

  1. Black Nail Polish
  2. Yellow Nail Polish
  3. Nails
  4. Paper Towels
  5. Flat, Sturdy Surface (Such as a Magazine or table)

Alright, if you have all of that, you are ready to get started! If you want to do these nails for your 'Soul Eater' Medusa Cosplay or just because you wanted something different and cool to do to your nails then keep reading!

Instructions:

Alright, place the hand you would like to start with on the sturdy surface, place your hand on a paper towel so you don't get the nail polish all over your surface, then take out your nail polishes. You may want to keep a paper towel just incase it gets runny or something. Anyways, take the black nail polish and paint your whole nail, then take the yellow and make an arrow in the middle of your nail, have it pointing whichever direction you want, if you are cosplaying Medusa, then have the arrows facing you. Let dry then work on the other hand, let that dry and you are done!

For Toe-Nails:

For your Toe Nails, follow the same steps for the Finger Nails except change hand to foot and you don't have to wait for one foot to dry before you start on the other.

Tips:
  • Make sure you practice before you do this because you could mess up if you don't
  • Keep your hands steady because if you mess up on the arrow then you will have to remove the black along with the yellow.
  • If you accidentally get the Black Nail polish on your skin, don't fret. You may have to scrub it off but it will come off pretty easily, no need to take a sander to your skin!
